Villa Monarda is an exceptional property located in the private estate of "Domaine du Levant" in Petit Cul de Sac.
Villa Monarda, is designed to honor its unique location on the craggy cliffside of Petit Cul de Sac, St Barts, with a sweeping, uninterrupted view out over the ocean. The heated pool is perfectly built in the edge of the cliff which goes down to the ocean downwards. The house brings the spirit of Italy to St. Barts. Monarda's Italian owner designed and built a villa rising from a grassy field, punctuated by massive volcanic rocks which echo St. Barts geological history.
A lovely dining pavillion with canvas drapes and massive slate table, is nestled into the rocks and shielded from the wind. It is located on the terrace outside the kitchen. Another magnificent dining table and outdoor seating area beneath a canvas canopy commands the back patio and creates a magical al fresco dining room. This villa of remarkable quality and unparalleled location creates an exciting setting for enjoying good food and good friends.
The main house features 5 bedrooms, a kitchen, a large outdoor wood fired pizza oven, and a very comfortable living room bedecked with lots of comfortable, linen covered couches, and a decorative fireplace. The two master bedrooms are located upstairs atop a rocky outcropping which overlooks the ocean from a variety of vantage points. In a wing extending to the east of the gracious living room are three lovely bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms and doors out to the gardens which meander through the rocks and grass surrounding the villa.
The golden tones of the wooden floors, Italian tiles in the bathrooms, lighting in the eaves of the wooden ceilings, accented by beautiful etchings and paintings adorning the walls and hallways throughout the villa, compliment each other to create an elegant, yet warm earthy atmosphere of relaxation and blissful enjoyment of a most remarkable estate and view.
