This property is located right in the breathtaking Tuscan Countryside with its characteristic valleys coloured with a green that cannot be found anywhere else in the world, the Tuscan landscape is really unique. Rows of cypresses standing in isolated spots on gentle hills that can be seen with systematic frequency, at times along with small old farmhouses. The alternation of green valleys with cultivated plains, and enchanting medieval villages with farmhouses and lovely red brick buildings, make Tuscany’s panorama one of the most authentic in the world.
A 19 th century Tuscan farmhouse divided into three sections. It is hard to believe that seven years ago the property was totally abandoned. The owners have lovingly restored the property using all the materials that were already there and trying to buy the necessary items to complete the restoration always keeping that original and authentic feel that belongs to this property. Old beams, doors, bricks for the ground floor and old oak floor boards in various widths and lengths for the upstairs floor were chosen with great care. All this makes the property look and feel like an old building.
The entire home has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, living rooms with 3 kitchen and dining room and swimming pool. In the whole house there is air conditioning, heating, screen windows, WIFI internet connection. All tiles are handmade so they are all different with beautiful colours and design.
The swimming pool is perfect for swimming and it is 4 x 18 meters, it is shaped like an ornamental lake and great for serious exercise. In the garden there is a large table to eat outside using the barbecue for cooking good Tuscan meat. The adjoining banks are prettily planted with agapanthus, lavender and white roses but the overall impression is wild and unspoilt creating a perfect mix with the surrounding landscape.
LEFT WING:
GROUND FLOOR: you enter a big living room that has a large fireplace with very comfortable couches. From every part of this warm and romantic dining
room you can enjoy the wonderful and breathtaking view of the gently rolling hills around Pienza. You will also find a lot of books in a book case, HIFI to listen to music and a TV with DVD player. The ancient Tuscan “cotto” gives this living room a very warm atmosphere. There is an access to a little comfortable kitchen perfect for snacks. Next to the living room with a separate entrance from the outside there is the staff’s double bedroom with a baldachin bed decorated with very ancient laces. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with an antique wash basin and big washing machine.
FIRST FLOOR: A warm peach colored double bedroom with an ancient king size bed. In the corner of this bedroom you can find behind a handmade wooden “separé” with tissue of silk a huge round 170x170 Villeroy & Boch tub with hydro massage. This double bedroom also has a private bathroom with shower. On the first floor there is also a sky blue colored double bedroom with en-suite bathroom which has a double shower and double wash basins. Between these two rooms there is an elegant room with a round little table and two armchairs from the 18 th century. Doors open onto a south facing little charming terrace from which you can enjoy the spectacular views of the Monte Amiata, the magic scenery of the Val d’Orcia with shifting lights that you can admire sipping a glass of delicious Tuscan wine.
CENTRAL PART:
GROUND FLOOR: Large wooden arched glass doors forge the main entrance that gives access to a large loft with queen truss. The room is 6.50 meters high. Romantic round stairs lead to the mezzanine where there is a French bed. The large antique wood dining table of ancient monarchs fits comfortably 12 guests and this is a lovely area for lunch or dinner when it is very hot outside or in case of bad weather. The Tuscan-style kitchen has all modern amenities (4 burner gas stove, oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave) and is very comfortable. A charming double bedroom in crème warm tones with an ancient iron bed and a particular cupboard which was used as a shop window in the past gives a very warm atmosphere to it. The two windows are facing south and this bedroom has a private bathroom with hydro massage tub.
RIGHT WING:
GROUND FLOOR: From an arched door you can enter a Tuscan kitchen with beautiful handmade tiles, a cosy living room with a fireplace and comfortable
couches. A handmade white wooden door separates the living room and a double charming bedroom with its own bathroom. The pink colored bathroom has a large shower.
FIRST FLOOR: The ancient Tuscan wood characterized this floor which has a lilac coloured double room with a baldachin king size bed and a charming yellow-orange coloured bathroom with hydro massage bathroom and shower. From the windows you have a spectacular view upon the rolling hills, the surrounding fields and small towns.
At the villa there are also a ping pong table, many toys for children and 3 mountain bikes for the sport lovers who wish to discover the countryside by themselves.
