The Cove description
The Area
The Cove is absolutely secluded, yet it is on the main road, and is only a 5 minute drive from Balian village, with its bars and restaurants that cater to the expatriate surfer community.
The area of Balian is well known for its unspoiled beauty and consistent surf waves, and has emerged as a leading destination for visitors wishing to experience the unrushed atmosphere of the Bali of years past. Balian village can also be reached by a 20 minute walk along the beach at low tide.
The Cove is conveniently located for easy day trips to the Nirwana Golf Course, Ubud, stunning Mount Batukaru, Pupuan rice terraces, Medewi and the national marine park of Menjangan Island.
The Villa
The Cove accommodates up to 13 people, comprising a 4-bedroom villa, plus a separate guest house with one bedroom and a cabana offering breathtaking sea views, including a walk-through grotto.
The property maintains a cozy feel, however, it is spacious enough to provide each guest ample personal space at all times. The views from each area of the house are spectacular and ever-changing, depending on the room, the clouds or the intensity of the light.
Whether it is relaxing in your own terrace or deck, swimming in the rock pool above the beach, walking through the coconut grove, watching the waves from the cabana, playing a tennis match barefoot on the grass court, lounging in the living room or enjoying a massage�there is always a place to go for private relaxation.
Living Spaces
The Cove strives to bring the outdoor feel of Bali to all its living spaces, with wall-to wall doors, gorgeous views from every corner, and living areas that seamlessly transition from the inside to the outdoors.
Alfresco dining, lounging areas, and a living room with comfortable sofas and a movie projector are some of the favorite spots to take full advantage of an experience at The Cove.
Bedrooms
The Cove has 4 bedrooms in the main house, plus a stand-alone, one-bedroom guest house near the pool. Each bedroom faces the ocean and has its own terrace or deck from which to experience the lovely views. The bedrooms are sized to be comfortable yet cozy, and each one has its own air conditioning unit and ceiling fan to ensure maximum comfort.
Outdoor Spaces
The 14-meter swimming pool, perched above the beach, is a favorite spot to take an invigorating swim or just to be lulled by the water and gentle swaying of coconut trees.
The ample pool deck, complete with a sundowner bar seating eight is ideal for lounging and relaxing. The sunset cabana is perfectly positioned to fully enjoy the views of the beach and grotto, and to experience the kaleidoscope of colors offered by this natural setting.
Tennis Court
Nestled amongst lush tropical gardens is the grass tennis court of The Cove.
It is a regulation size tennis court, for the exclusive use of our guests. Of course, the court can be used also for badminton, volleyball, or other games for a grass pitch.
Beaches
The beach at The Cove is one of the most private in the island: guests can access it at any time, however, only at low tide is it possible for others to pass through.
The beach features a walk-through grotto, a place of romance and adventure. Passing through will bring you to a landscape with extraordinary rock formations and exotic views, which can be followed all the way up to Balian beach with its famous surf waves and colorful bars and restaurants.
To the left-hand side of The Cove lies another, longer beach, accessible at low tide, which is fantastic for walking, shell-seeking, and for exploring tidal pools.
Our Location
2.5 hours from Denpasar International Airport, The Cove is easy to locate and on the main road in the Tabanan Regency connecting Denpasar and Gilimanuk.
The location in West Bali offers the most spectacular sunsets, whilst removed from the congested areas of Kuta, Seminyak and Canggu.
Pristine rice paddies, traditional villages, colorful local markets, and ancient temple ceremonies are all part of the attraction of our location surrounding Balian Beach.
