Sugar Bay - Jamaica description
Sugar Bay is located on a perfect crescent of sugar, white sand on the shores of tranquil Discovery Bay.
The villa is a stunning haven of luxury and style. The interiors feature custom designed furniture, beautiful color washed walls and objects of art from Jamaica, the Caribbean as well as around the world.
The villa is a two-story home and a dramatic mahogany staircase curves gracefully through the living room to a minstrel's gallery and cozy upstairs second sitting area complete with satellite TV/DSS television and VCR.
Sugar Bay has quadraphonic speakers that provide music in the living room as well as the outdoor verandah and pool area.
The home exudes a very Mediterranean ambiance with it's Italian tiles, mosaic pool and bougainvillea draped balconies.
Three of the bedrooms are located upstairs and two downstairs. Each of the five bedrooms is detailed in handcrafted furnishings and art. Private balconies offer dramatic views and the soothing sound of the ocean.
Exceptional home cooked meals may be enjoyed either in the indoor dining room are out on the comfortable verandah.
The living room opens to a beautiful furnished verandah and just beyond is the private pool complete with a Jacuzzi.
Outside, there is an expansive verandah, beautiful lawn area perfect for children and then the villa's 100 foot private beach cove. The home is well equipped with sea kayaks, a boat dock and even snorkeling equipment.
Of special note are the villa's two seaside gazebos which provide the perfect setting for cocktails and sunset watching.
The home has a private Laykold tennis court that is lit for night play. There is a ball machine as well.
Sugar Bay is located approximately a 25 minute drive from colorful Ocho Rios which offers wonderful restaurants, duty-free shopping, nightlife, tours of Great Houses, rafting on the Martha Brae River, swim with the dolphins and the famous Dunn's River Falls.
If occupancy exceeds 10 guests, please note that there is an additional $50/per additional guest/per night charge.
Sugar Bay is an outstanding home perfect for families or couples.
Please note that for large family reunions/groups, the villa may be combined with other neighboring villas in Discovery Bay such as Fortlands Point, Makana, Keelawee, Whispering Waters, A Summer Place, Sundown, Coral Cove 1 & 2, Seagapes & Sea Haven.

Master Suite: King sized four poster bed complete with a sitting area an TV as well as a balcony with ocean and sunset views. The en-suite bathroom has a whirlpool tub, separate walk in shower and double vanity.
Bedroom 2: This room is tastefully furnished with a bamboo bed, TV and balcony with ocean and sunset views. The en-suite bathroom features a tub/shower combo.
Bedroom 3: This room provides the option of either a king size or twin four poster beds and a balcony with ocean and sunset views. The en-suite bathroom has a tub/shower combination as well.
Downstairs:
Bedroom 4: A lovely room with a king sized bed, TV and dramatic French doors that open to a private porch and the pool beyond. The en-suite bathroom has a tub/shower combo.
Bedroom 5: The room has two double beds and a TV. The en-suite bathroom features a tub/shower combo.
**Please, also, note that if the owners agree to accept more than 10 guests the cost for each additional person over 12 yrs. of age is $200/night.
