Sol y Mar is a newly built, exquisitely designed vacation rental
situated above Marigot Bay that looks east over this picturesque part of
Atlantic Ocean. The island of St. Barts has a prestigious reputation
for its abundance of unspoiled beaches, luxury shopping and some of the
Caribbean’s finest restaurants. With a distinct French influence, the
island is sophisticated, yet laid back – and the people of St. Barts
take great pride in providing comfort, quiet and security to their
visitors.
The hardwood deck outside offers plenty of space for relaxing in the
sun, with the infinity swimming pool providing a welcome and cooling
respite from the midday heat. Enjoy some alfresco dining with sizzling
cuts off the barbeque. Palms and live bamboo compliment the green
hillsides that stretch down toward the sea. Just steps away is a living
area with an HDTV home cinema system. Inside Sol y Mar, you will find an
espresso machine, Wi-Fi and an exercise room. Your reservation includes
housekeeping.
Designed and furnished in a clean, contemporary style by architect
Francois Pécard, Sol y Mar boasts a collection of stylish and
comfortable furniture from the design studio of Christian Liaigre. The
main living, dining and kitchen area is open to the terrace and pool,
creating an inviting and efficient shared common area for the home’s
guests. High vaulted ceilings provide that quintessential Caribbean
ambience.
Five exquisite bedrooms host up to ten guests at this non-smoking
villa. The master bedroom suite on the upper level boasts an
exceptionally large bath with a tub. The other five bedrooms are on a
lower level, most with semi-private decks offering a view similar to
that from the terrace. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and the
furnishings and linens are all of the highest quality.
Indulge in some down time with family and friends on the white sandy
beaches of Lorient and Marigot, or go for an adventure walk on one of
the local hiking trails. A short drive brings you to Gustavia, the
island’s capital, where you’ll discover sightseeing attractions, diverse
restaurants, boutiques and gift shops along the bustling streets.
