Reginetta description
Set in a strategic position, just minutes away from the city walls of Siena, Reginetta was once a watch Tower controlling one of the main roads that led up the gates of the medieval city.
From the underground wine cellar is still possible to walk through an ancient escape road from the tower. Nowadays, the tower still controls the south entrance of the city of Siena from its privileged location: sitting on a hillside of olive trees and vineyards and overhanging the ancient Via Francigena (the famous pilgrimage route from France to Rome).
The old tower has been recently converted into a very special private home, using natural materials and in respect of the existing structure. Inside, the decor is sophisticated and stylish.
The professional kitchen leads out on the panoramic terrace with a shaded loggia for outdoor dining, enjoying stunning views. The bedrooms are all beautifully decorated with pieces of art and great sense of aesthetic.
There are two restaurants and a shop within walking distance and Siena is just 3km/2 miles away.
A most serene and peaceful haven from which to spend an unforgettable holiday; the villa is a truly wonderful location to visit San Gimignano, Montalcino and Florence, which are all within easy reach, about 1 hour, or even Pienza, Montalcino and the Val Dorcia a UNESCO heritage site along with the Crete Senesi.
