Mariposa - TNC description
This private oceanfront villa nestles in a half acre of tropical gardens and enjoys panoramic views of the turquoise water of the Caicos Banks. From the large decks, you can laze by the 48 foot free-form freshwater swimming pool or enjoy an unobstructed vista of iridescent turquoise waters, azure skies and the distant harbor.
Laze to the sound of the sea lapping the shoreline below, or walk down the steps to the large sea-level deck, and take the steps into the water for swimming and snorkeling.
Taylor Bay, a large crescent-shaped beach with sugar-white sand which is almost always deserted, is a two minute stroll from the villa's private driveway. Enjoy a dip in the shallow, calm waters that are ideal for children or enjoy a romantic sunset stroll.
Inside the villa, you will find a professionally designed decor with terra cotta floors, wood paneled walls and 25-foot cathedral ceilings. Mariposa has three lovely bedrooms, each with a full ensuite bathroom. There is a king size bedroom, a queen size bedroom and a bedroom with two twin beds. Each bedroom is cooled by the wonderful ocean breezes or there is individual air-conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, microwave and more. All new furniture for the great room was purchased in 2013 and new stone patios installed in 2014. The pool was completely refurbished in 2014.
There are 2 flat screen TVs, DVDs and 4 iPod docking stations. A washer and dryer are available for guest use. Two local cell phones (pre-pay) are provided so that guests can keep in touch.
Within easy reach are several tennis courts, a beautiful 18 hole golf course, numerous restaurants, a casino, world-class scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, sailing and friendly people.
