Great Escape - GCA description
Great Escape & 1BR/1BA Master Suite Guest Cottage are located on the quiet cove in Cayman Kai on the north coast, only steps from the Rum Point Club. Rental of both gives guests two superb king master suites, a king bedroom and a queen bedroom. A large screened porch offers conversational seating and a ping-pong table!
Great Escape boasts one of the largest residential freshwater oceanfront swimming pools on the island. Offering a white-sand barefoot beach and a very spacious interior, Great Escape is perfect for a large family vacation or multiple couples on a getaway. With a screened-in covered porch of more than 1,000 square feet, guests can enjoy the outdoors even on that occasional rainy day. Optional pool heat means the pool will be inviting to all guests year around.
The cove, named Bioluminescence Bay, is one of the most unique eco-systems in the world, with glow-in-the-dark phytoplankton and luminescent marine life... lighting up the bay most every night. The cove is also perfect for boating, kayaking, or just lounging on your beach while taking in the views.
The best barefoot swimming beach in Cayman Kai and the Rum Point Club offering watersports, drinks, lunch and dinner are just up the street 200 yards.
Great Escape's interiors are clean and modern, with cool tile floors and minimal decor. Plenty of windows and sliding glass doors open onto the pool area and fill the home with sunlight. A modern kitchen offers all the standard appliances, dishware, cookware, and cutlery.
The large, beachfront screened porch has lounges chairs and a ping pong table, so guests can play or just relax without losing the breeze.
The cove behind Great Escape it is more for kayaking/boating than swimming, and the home offers a private dock if you decide to rent a boat or jet ski or hire a charter captain. The cove bottom is soft and there are no corals to attract the fish. So for barefoot swimming or snorkeling, guests simply walk across the street to the sandy beach.
