Emerald Shores Estate description
Emerald Shores Estate is an ideal vacation retreat for up to 18 guests. Located on almost two acres of land, it features 228 feet of water frontage on the magnificent Chalk Sound National Park which is known for it's unspoiled beautiful , hypnotic views and nearby cays. Spectacular and lush gardens provide brilliant riots of color against the clear blue waters.
The property was designed by a leading architect and is comprised of two villas that are set apart by the exquisite gardens full of over 80 different species of native tropical trees and vegetation. There is the Main Villa as well as the Guest Villa and each villa boasts it's own private sparkling swimming pool.
Remarkable at the villas are the soft breezes that blow through the houses. While the bedrooms are air-conditioned, it's rarely required.
A secluded walkway leads from the villa to the kayak and swimming dock. Guests will enjoy exploring the many cays in the Sound as well as swimming at famous Taylor Beach which is just a short walk from the villas. Taylor Beach is especially good for families with young children as the shallow area extends very far out.
While guests will feel like they are in their own nirvana and retreat, the villas are located just a short drive from both the airport and downtown Provo.
THE MAIN HOUSE:
The main villa looks over stunning Chalk Sound National Park and is built on two levels with three bedrooms on the upper level and two on the lower level.
The upper floor must be rented before the lower floor, although they can be separated as needed by a doubled door on the stairway. We do not rent the lower floor if only the upper floor is rented. (This policy ensures renters of their full privacy.) The upper level has a breakfast nook and dining area. The lower level has a kitchenette.
An over-sized 40 ft. kidney shaped pool serves as the Main House's center of fun, with its built in water seat and nearby wet bar and BBQ.
Notable at the main villa is that all of the windows have screens allowing guests to enjoy the caress of the trade winds.
The bedrooms in the main villa are well decorated and offer en-suite bathrooms. There are a total of 7 bedrooms in the house.
Washer and dryer rooms are located on each floor, and there are clothes lines outside if you need them. We have a telephone for local calls, and there is adequate parking for at least 5 cars.
Each floor has one bedroom with a queen sized bed, and the rest have two twin sized beds in each bedroom (can be put together to make a king sized bed if needed).
GUEST HOUSE:
Set back a hundred + feet from the main house, the two level guest villa has two separate units. Upper level: 2 bedrooms/one bathroom and each bedroom has a private balcony looking north south and west - a panoramic view of the Chalk Sound, Silly Creek and the ocean. Living room opens out to private balcony. The lower unit offers two bedrooms/1 bathroom with living-dining area facing the pool patio and is also wheelchair accessible.
Rented out, together with the Guest Villa, Emerald Shores Estate offers accommodation for 18 persons with a total of 9 bedrooms, a perfect retreat for family reunions, weddings and groups.
