On weekends and holidays, when he escapes from his city life, the friendly, unobtrusive owner may be in his residence on the far side of the park and driveway, where he has his own parking area and garden.
In addition to having the most amazing views and comforts, this beautiful property is also ideally located for those looking to get out and about and explore the area. Como, Lecco, Bergamo, Milano and Lugano (Switzerland) are all within a convenient easy drive of 90 minutes or less. For those who prefer their adventures on the water, your only dilemma will be deciding whether to take the public boat to visit the lake’s charming towns and villages or rent your own private boat with an English-speaking captain. Decisions, Decisions! For the foodies among us, there is even more good news! Literally 2 minutes walk from the villa is one of the best typical trattorias in the entire area. You’d rather stay home? No worries, we have a fabulous chef on call to come to the property and prepare a special meal for you. Just give us the nod and we can arrange chef service for you. You might just pick up some Italian cooking techniques and secrets, too!
The accommodations in this beautiful villa, which dates back to the end of the 19th century, are located on two floors. The Ground Floor, which is accessible from the driveway through the main entrance, boasts the most elegant foyer with a marble fireplace, frescoed ceilings, chandeliers and wonderfully spacious living/dining area giving you a taste of what’s in store. The lakeside terrace is easily accessed from many parts of this room. On this floor as well, we have the only two modern touches on the property: the kitchen and the TV! Equipped with the best in kitchen gadgetry, even the most discerning gourmet chef will not be disappointed here. And the other modern touch, the satellite TV, offers viewers a wide variety of international channels. This floor also boasts three half bathrooms (with a toilet and sink only) and a well-equipped laundry room with a washing machine and dryer as well as ironing facilities. For those who prefer eating al fresco – the BBQ just around the corner from the kitchen will for sure be one of your favourite spots.
The First Floor can easily be reached by the elevator or the stairway – it’s up to you. There are seven bedrooms on this floor, each with its own bathroom. Guests can choose between three twin-bedded and four queen-bedded rooms, and the choice is yours with the bathrooms as well: some have a bathtub while others have a shower. For those who wish to catch up on some reading or keep in touch with friends and family back home, the first floor study, with its beautiful lakeview terrace and high-speed Internet connection is the place for you.
