El Chante is Tamarindo’s premier open-air Bali-style vacation rental destination. This outstanding natural paradise is set on a hillside that overlooks the merging point of Playa Tamarindo and Playa Grande at the Las Baulas Estuary. Sweeping views of the ocean and surrounding hillsides make every day at El Chante a magical day.
The El Chante resort is comprised of 9 separate structures tucked away in the lushness of the hillside jungle and connected by paths and wooden stairways. The bungalows, built entirely of local tropical hardwoods, have the feel of an elite collection of tree houses. Five of the 8 bungalows are individual guest suites with a private porch, master bedroom, bath, and authentic Balinese furniture and wood carvings. El Chante’s main bungalow houses the resort’s common area. Here you will gather to prepare and enjoy meals, lounge in the open-air living areas, admire the view, take a dip in the private infinity pool, enjoy the sun terrace, and share unforgettable moments with your family and friends.
This resort was created with the intention of leaving the smallest ecological footprint possible on the surrounding environment. The open-air architectural design eliminates the need for air-conditioning, and the resort’s recycled water irrigates the gardens.
The vibrant town of Tamarindo lines the coast just below the delicious seclusion of El Chante. A quick trip down the hill puts you in the heart of international dining, eclectic shopping, fantastic surf, and miles of pristine sand.
