Cozy Lake Tahoe Cabin description
Come smell the mountain pines and relax in this charming Tahoe Chalet located ½ block to National Forest hiking and biking paths. Trek to South Shore’s best beaches or venture to Historic Camp Richardson and Marina, including live outdoor music on the beach, kayaking and boat rentals in the summer, and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Conveniently located near the “Y” and Factory Outlet Stores and only five miles to Stateline Casinos, world class Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort, Shopping Village and Cinemas. This mountain cabin is comfortably furnished with a Tahoe flair - including a cozy wood-burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, large sundeck, and big backyard with a horseshoe pit.
INSIDE THE HOUSE
Stretch out on the soft leather couches in front of the cozy fire and enjoy a movie from the DVD collection. The redwood burl table and knotty pine open beam ceilings add to the engaging alpine décor.
Whip up a hearty breakfast in the well-stocked kitchen and have your meal al fresco on the picnic table in the summer sunshine. There is also a Weber BBQ out back for your grilling pleasure. Inside, the dining table seats 8, with 2 extra bar stools at the counter.
Get a good night's rest in the pinecone-themed Master Bedroom; snuggle into the cozy queen-size bed with a lodgepole headboard, warm comforter, and blackout drapes – in case you like to sleep in! Enjoy the privacy of your own bathroom with a tiled shower/tub combo.
The 2nd moose-themed bedroom has 2 queen-size beds with wrought iron headboards, and tall open-beam ceilings.
The 3rd ski-themed bedroom has 2 full-size beds topped with red and white plaid comforters and warm flannel ski-print sheets. A shared bathroom offers a large shower and more moose décor accents.
LOCATION
Come sun or snow, this cozy red cabin is the perfect all-season destination. The property not only offers quick access to Fallen Leaf Lake but is also only ½ block away from miles of bike trails that are quiet and serene – away from the busy downtown corridor. Bike rentals are located within easy walking distance.
Pack the beach towels and volleyball for a day at nearby Camp Richardson; enjoy stand-up paddle boarding or rent a power boat for a day out on the lake. If you work up an appetite, indulge in a meal and libation at the Beacon Bar & Grill - home of the famous Rum Runner. In winter months, this is a magical spot for walking through the snowy pines along the beach – followed by a hot toddy overlooking the lake.
Nearby Emerald Bay is a spectacular gem; don't forget your hiking shoes because you'll want to make the jaunt to Eagle Falls.

South Lake Tahoe has strict ordinances governing vacation rentals. This property cannot be used for any type of parties, including weddings and receptions. Maximum allowable occupancy is 8 people and 2 cars - and is strictly enforced and patrolled 24 hours/day. Excessive noise or over-occupancy at any time of day will result in citation/fine up to $2,000 (as well as any fines assessed against the homeowner). Please note that we have a strict NO PARTY policy; failure to comply will result in eviction. WARNING: This home is located in a sound-sensitive neighborhood and is not suitable for large or noisy groups. City of SLT License #001813.
