Channel House description
Channel House - few homes in the world are as unusual and magical.
Set in two acres of mature tropical gardens with 300 ft of sea frontage and only 20 yards from the turquoise waters of the beach, this beautiful house was one of the early, old houses on Providenciales.
Built in the traditional Bermudian style it is set high up, 12 ft above ground level, allowing superb views out over the waters of Leeward Going Through.
The house has two upper bedrooms with king-sized beds, en suite bathrooms, ceiling fans and wide sliding doors which lead onto private terraces which form part of a fully netted walk-round veranda.
The main house is finished throughout in Spanish cedar with polished hardwood floors, giving it a warm, rich, feel. The main living area is a large, gracious high-ceilinged room decorated in rich colours which highlight the owner's collection of Haitian art.
A beautiful sea facing external terrace has a large, comfortable sitting area and dining table for al fresco living.
There is a contemporary kitchen equipped with large dining table, electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer with ice maker.
Other amenities are BBQ, TV (local channels only), DVD, telephone (local calls only) and internet access. A laundry room is located below the house.
There are also two smaller double bedrooms, accessed through the gardens, which open out onto a paved pergola and patio. Around the pool there are many potential sitting areas, either in the shade under the tiki hut or on the patio for those who like a hot sun.
