Casa Rosa is a beautiful vacation property on Playa Blanca, Guerrero, Mexico. a breathtaking beach area, away from the usual tourist congestion with emphasis on tranquility, privacy, solitude and the natural ambience of the tropics and ocean.
At the southern end of Playa Blanca, about a mile away you will find Barra de Potosí, a small fishing village that boasts some of the best seafood enramadas (open-air palapa restaurants).
There is a beautiful lagoon with miles of mangrove trees and bird life for you to enjoy as you either rent a kayak and paddle through yourself, or go on a guided tour in a small motorboat.
Casa Rosa is a 5-bedroom house with a large infinity swimming pool. It was designed and built by the area’s best known architect, Enrique Zozaya and is a true work of art, combining natural free-flowing style and traditional local Mexican materials. Four of the bedrooms have two queen-size beds each and there is a separate studio with one king-size bed. Each bedroom has its own private entrance and bathroom. The house comfortably sleeps 10. There are well-appointed indoor and outdoor sitting areas, with poolside chaise lounges, tables and chairs.
A large glass-enclosed living/dining area has an over-sized dining table and chairs, card table and chairs and plenty of sofa space to relax, read or watch T.V. Hammocks can be hung in the garden between the palm trees and a beautiful view of the beach and ocean is common to all spaces, being of special interest a group of large rock islands a few miles out.
The beach is a ten-mile stretch with mostly private homes and is prized for its serenity and lack of crowds (with the possible exception of Easter and New Year’s). During a long walk on Playa Blanca you might come upon just a few people The beach is great for swimming or just relaxing under the palapa surrounded by coconut trees.The pool is all the same depth, so power walking is also a good way to get your exercise, if that is your wish.
The house is located only 15 minutes south of the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo international airport and 30 minutes from the twin resorts of Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. The backdrop on the landslide consists of natural pastures, tropical groves and fresh-water estuaries with the majestic mountains of the Sierra Madre in the background.
AMENITIES INCLUDE: Infinity pool, air conditioned bedrooms and living area, satellite TV with DVD and movies, CD player with music, ceiling fans, fully equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, staff on premises. Daily Maid Service. The cook will prepare breakfast for you each morning (cost of groceries is additional), and can be hired to prepare delicious local meals for US$25 per meal. The staff can also do your grocery shopping for you for a transportation fee of US$25.
