A collection of classic St. Barth cottages with stripped-down simplicity
but all the modern amenities, Villa Cabanes (CAB) offers easy island
living at its best. The name, Cabanes, translates as “cottages” or
“cabins,” and that is exactly the feeling you get here. The beautiful
ocean views from Anse de Cayes and the plentiful privacy add to the
appeal.
To be sure, the three bedrooms are compact, but they are big on comfort,
and the white-and-white color palette makes them live large. The owners
designed everything in a way to make guests as comfortable as possible.
The bed and bath linens, from the Belgian company Mia Zia, are of the
highest quality, and the eclectic collection of decorations and air make
the luxury rental property feel welcoming.
The living room and open kitchen are fully air-conditioned, but really,
Villa Cabanes is a place for outdoor living. The pool, while compact, is
heated and has stunning views over the bay. Next to it are four
sunbeds, which can be shaded or sun-drenched, and at the other end of
the terrace are a dining table and barbecue.
One of the three bedrooms is in the main building, right behind the
living room. The other two occupy their own cabanes, one right next to
the pool, with a beautiful sea view, and the other on the top level by
the villa’s entrance and parking area. Spread over two levels, it has a
small office upstairs with a sofa bed that could accommodate a young
child. Each bedroom has a queen bed, air-conditioning, Apple TV, and an
ensuite bedroom with a shower.
Due to the nature of the drive around Anse de Cayes, a small four-by-four car is recommended.
