Avalon - TNC description
Set on Grace Bay Beach in a gated community, Avalon villa is a beautiful home that enjoys fabulous views and an extraordinary location. Tropical gardens lush with palm trees and exotic flowers surround this villa that provides generous accommodations. Like a pretty jewel box next to the sea, its remarkable location is truly stunning.
Avalon rises gracefully like a sand castle, even boasting its own tower and turret. Featuring an infinity-edge pool (complete with mini waterfall), a travertine marble pool deck and patio and a poolside gazebo with BBQ and swim-up wet bar, this villa offers outdoor entertaining at its finest.
The home offers everything one would want in a tropical vacation, including exceptional snorkeling right out the door.
One is struck by incomparable beauty upon entering the home when the views of the gin-clear tourmaline waters of the ocean beckon beyond the pool. Shifting shades of aquamarine are hypnotic. The grounds are punctuated with colorful hibiscus, bougainvillea, oleander and coconut palms.
Avalon boasts spacious accommodations and extraordinary views. The interiors are generous and well-furnished. An air-conditioned family room looks out towards the pool deck and is accessed via stairs from the pool or through the circular turret stairway. Expansive pocket doors open to provide plenty of soft breezes as well as stunning views. Here, guests will enjoy the 50" plasma, satellite TV, DVD player and home theater surround sound system.
The family room leads to the alfresco dining room with views of the ocean in one direction and the nearby Turtle Cove Marina in the other direction. It is outfitted with a custom made mosaic-topped table with seating for eight guests.
The kitchen is expansive and features stone and granite and is extremely well equipped. Dramatic pocket doors slide open permitting you to bring the outside in and access the pool.
An impressive villa, there are four sumptuous air-conditioned bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms complete with travertine, granite and marble. Nicely equipped, all of the bedrooms provide TV, DVD player and spacious walk in showers as well as twin vanities. Each bedroom is decorated to the highest standards in a tasteful and eclectic style and boasts its own private outside entrance.
Of particular note is the master suite which is located in its very own pod-like structure next to the pool. The room is both stylish and romantic with its king sized four poster bed. Dramatic louvered doors open to a panoramic 360 degree view of the pool and striking blue ocean beyond. The room features a spacious dressing area and twin vanities as well as a large soaking tub surrounded by large windows overlooking the ocean. A private outdoor glass block shower is a way to savor the outdoors in all of its glory. Nicely equipped, the master room has a large plasma, satellite TV as well as a DVD player.
Shades of turquoise are contrasted against the creamy tones of the travertine marble pool deck and patio areas. Hibiscus, Bougainvillea and Bird Of Paradise flowers provide vibrant splashes of color throughout.
The free-form pool is surrounded by lush palm trees and boasts a unique swim-up bar with bar stools. Wide open terraces complete with a foot bridge border the pool and the beach is just a few steps away.
A thatched gazebo by the pool is the perfect spot for grilling with a stainless style gas grill, fridge and ice maker. Outdoor speakers make it an ideal spot for cocktails and entertaining.
Smith's Reef offers some of the best snorkeling to be found anywhere on the island and is right outside the door to the villa. Please note that the coral reef is close to the shore and that there is a strip of rock so water shoes are appropriate.
