This lovely 4BR 1928 Farmhouse was recently restored in a chic urban farmhouse style design. Sitting on over two acres of old growth trees, this picturesque country setting is a quiet retreat conveniently located to all Nashville has to offer.
Sit a spell on the gracious front porch and enjoy a glass of Southern sweet tea. As you enter, you’ll appreciate the new urban farmhouse décor, original hardwood floors, and vintage details. Abundant natural light comes through the wrap-around windows, soft white and neutral hues surround you in warmth. The living room offers comfortable seating for eight in front of the original restored fireplace. As you enter the dining room, you'll immediately notice the handmade farm table that also seats eight, and provides the perfect place to share a good meal with friends and family. From the dining room, the updated kitchen flows seamlessly offering modern amenities like granite counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, and a butcher-block island counter-top while preserving authentic elements like the original brick chimney. The sunroom, where lazy days or a favorite movie can be enjoyed on the flat screen television, opens out from the kitchen. With seating for four at the eat-in dining table and two more at the kitchen bar, this is a great spot for casual dining.
If work is on the agenda, a study is located behind the kitchen. Down the hallway you'll find the elegant master bedroom with king size bed, original wood floors, and en-suite bathroom. Upstairs you’ll find a lounge area with a flat screen television and seating for five where late night chats are bound to occur. There are 3 more bedrooms upstairs, all with full size beds, unique flooring and period details, and ample storage. The upstairs bathroom is very spacious with two pedestal sinks and shower/tub combo. A separate laundry room with washer and dryer is available for guest use and completes the space.
Step outside to enjoy the gardens and open space. Situated on 2.5 acres with sprawling lawns and old-growth trees, you'll want to run barefoot through the grass, or make a wish at the wishing well. Or just sit back and relax on the front porch swing or easy chairs. This is a special place, a place where memories are made.
